About The Author Ali was born in Tehran in 1953 and grew up in Persia. His mother had a great love of cooking and good food, a love she has passed on to her son. In 1970 the family emigrated to Canada. Ali completed his education in England, gaining a degree in Economics and Computer Programming. His passion for food and cooking led him into catering.

The Author

Ali has worked with many great chefs and traveled to many countries learning and practicing international cuisine. He felt there was a need for people to access the most practical ways of cooking from around the world in a simple way from start to finish. He has written this book so that others can share his knowledge and as a way of thanking those who have supported him and shared some of the happiest and most rewarding years of his life.

Throughout my thirty years living in England I have watched with pleasure the curiosity and interest of both my friends and customers alike as they have enjoyed eating my many exotic and delicate dishes from around the world. It was their urging that finally persuaded me to put pen to paper and share my knowledge and experience of international cuisine with you in my book ‘Elaborate Cooking Uncovered’.

Additionally, I have always held the personal belief that there is a need for all sections of society to be able to gain access to the most practical methods of cooking food, in ways which can be classed as simple from ‘commencement to finish’.

Please enjoy reading my recipes. I hope that they will whet your appetite and that their simplicity will instill in you a desire to have a go at making them.  You must remember, above all, that cooking is like a marriage. You have to first study your vegetables, fish and meat for their quality and freshness and then cook everything with love and affection. Finally you need to spend that little bit of extra time on presenting each dish on its plate with care. I assure you that this will make an amazing difference.
